Shenzhen University is located in Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, China. It is a comprehensive university approved by the Ministry of Education, in charge of Guangdong Province and sponsored by Shenzhen Municipal People's Government.
It has been selected as the key construction university of high-level universities in Guangdong Province, the national cultural quality education base for college students, the national international scientific and technological cooperation base, the national innovation and entrepreneurship training program for college students, the national civilized campus, and the first batch of demonstration universities in China to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education.

/KLOC-0 passed the first batch of national undergraduate teaching qualification assessment in 1995, and/KLOC-0 was approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee in 1996 to become a master's degree awarding unit. In 2006, it was approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee as a doctoral degree awarding unit.
