Xiamen University Malaysia Overseas Education
First of all, Malaysia has a multicultural and open and inclusive spirit. The Malaysian government is very supportive of Xiamen University in running schools in the country. Except Xiamen University's school in Malaysia, all foreign universities that set up schools in Malaysia are from the west, and Malaysia hopes that China University can settle in Malaysia.

Second, Xiamen University was founded more than 90 years ago by Mr. Chen Jiageng, a patriotic overseas Chinese leader in Malaysia, and has close ties with Southeast Asian countries and natural ties with Malaysia. Xiamen University has established sister schools with Malaya University, the highest institution in Malaysia.

Thirdly, there are more than 6 million overseas Chinese in Malaysia, nearly half of whom are from Fujian Province, China. Overseas Chinese in Malaysia have deep feelings for their hometown and Xiamen University, and show great enthusiasm and support for running schools in Malaysia.

Fourthly, Xiamen University has a strong competitive advantage. Some practical subjects, such as economics, management, law, chemistry, oceanography, traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese, have proved to be very popular among international students. I believe these subjects are very suitable for students from Southeast Asian countries. In China, Xiamen University is well-known but not "top". Why did you choose Xiamen University?

There is a deep historical origin behind this. In 1950s, Xiamen University established the first overseas correspondence college in China University to provide distance education for overseas Chinese. At the beginning of 2003, Xiamen University and Malaya University, the highest institution in Malaysia, formed a sister school. Huang Jiading, Special Envoy of Malaysian Prime Minister for China Affairs, believes that it is this academic interaction that makes Xiamen University a well-known university in China and is well known by Malaysian academic circles. Today, Xiamen University has more than 200 Malaysian students, which is one of the largest groups of international students.

The relationship between the two goes beyond this. Zhu Chongshi, president of Xiamen University, also explained that there is a Jiageng complex-Xiamen University was founded by Mr. Chen Jiageng. 92 years later, Xiamen University returned to Malaysia where Mr. Jia Geng grew up and founded a branch school. "This is the feedback of history." According to the preliminary plan, the branch school will set up five colleges, namely, Humanities College, Medical College, Economics College, Computer College and Engineering College, to recruit Chinese, Chinese Medicine, International Business, Accounting, Computer, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Marine Environment. Except Chinese and Chinese medicine, all other majors are taught in English.

Xiamen University Malaysia will be composed of students from Malaysia, China and other countries (regions). In terms of teachers, the school revealed that in addition to recruiting teachers locally, it will also recruit teachers from all over the world to teach at the Malaysian branch.
