When she first entered the university, Wu Mengyuan gave a speech on behalf of the freshmen of the College of Science at the orientation meeting and opening ceremony (undergraduate, graduate and scientific research) on 20 14. He won many awards and was successfully elected as the vice president of Nanchang University Student Union at the 5th Student Congress on 2016-2017.
Out of love for sports, Wu Mengyuan joined the college sports department as soon as she entered school. From the grass-roots ministries to becoming members of the school presidium, the time and energy spent can be imagined. Without boasting and complacency, he only had a short sentence: "Like everyone else, I started from the ministries and stuck to it step by step." Perseverance can make a drop of water wear away stones. Working in the sports department is always full of trivial things. Every activity from the preparatory stage to the final stage, students in the physical education department are always busy, and it is normal to stay up late. It is through their efforts that the activities can be carried out in an orderly and smooth manner. It was also in the planning and holding of the event that Wu Mengyuan became an excellent student union president.
Huang Biyun said that if one day we get lost in the crowd and waste our lives, it is because we have not tried to live a full life. There is always a time when it can't be done. You don't give up easily, but use more energy to explore progress. During the preparation of the student congress, Wu Mengyuan was responsible for the proposal of the student congress. Due to lack of experience, everything can only be achieved through constant meetings and discussions and constant revisions.
We envy all the honors he has won, but we can't see the inhuman efforts behind him. Wu Mengyuan was mainly responsible for modeling when he participated in the mathematical modeling competition for American college students, so he spent half a winter vacation in school for training. In order to save time, he moved his dormitory directly to Tian Jian Garden. But the water and electricity in the room were cut off, and the cold and hard conditions often woke him up in the middle of the night. However, these difficulties did not stop him from giving up halfway. No one in this world is easier than anyone else, but some people care about heaven and earth, and some people stick to it silently. He overcame these obstacles with his perseverance, and finally won the international second prize.
Excellence is a never-ending adjective. While finishing her work, Wu Mengyuan did not forget her work as a student. Using his spare time to study, he also has a clear plan for his future. Because his major is financial mathematics, he also hopes to work in a venture capital company through hard work. And in the summer vacation, I also studied TOEFL hard and tried to go abroad for further study. He admits that although he feels very busy, he is very fulfilling and rewarding in his busy schedule.
Wu Mengyuan is a person who can never stop. When he was a sophomore, he was going to study abroad. Seeing the project of teaching, he resolutely gave up the plan of going to Britain for exchange and immediately told his parents that he wanted to teach and give his love. He took advantage of his vacation to participate in a research group teaching in Guizhou. The life of the education group gave him a deeper understanding of poverty and backwardness. Now every time he sees a child of seven or eight years old in the street, it always reminds him of that time. A fire broke out in the village where he taught last year, and half the hillside was seriously damaged. During the visit, he learned that some families affected by the disaster could only set up simple tents on the ground and dig holes everywhere to set up cauldrons. This is the daily life of people in mountainous areas. During the teaching period in Guizhou, a slogan written in white paint "Go to work after graduating from junior high school" deeply touched Wu Mengyuan. He realized that his responsibility was to change their deep-rooted ideas and not let their children drop out of school too early. They should be able to enjoy college life like themselves. During the teaching period, accommodation became the biggest problem. Boys sleep in the office, and girls put tables together to make beds in the classroom. Although the working environment is extremely bad and the task is arduous, he is very happy. He said: "Teaching in the mountainous area has always been my dream." Although it was only a short month, he showed the children there the outside world and tried his best to help them. Until now, Wu Mengyuan still pays attention to these children.
When speaking, Wu Mengyuan is always modest and polite, with a faint brilliance from the inside out, elegant and calm, and light clouds and light winds. Serious and rigorous in work, simple and casual in life. Flowers, birds, fish and insects, aquaculture and so on are all his hobbies. As long as he has enough time, he always chooses to travel to relax himself. During the trip, he can see the outside world and feel the culture and charm of different cities, which makes him gain a lot. When asked what advice he has for freshmen who have just joined the Student Union, he expressed the hope that all the younger brothers and sisters will persist in whatever they do and adjust the time allocation for study and work. Mainly study, grow up slowly, and be able to stand loneliness. After four years in college, I have gained something and grown up.
