Huaibei Normal University, located in Huaibei City, Anhui Province, is a comprehensive provincial-level key university, and has been selected into the Basic Capacity Building Project of Central and Western Universities (Phase II), the discipline construction peak plan of Anhui Province and the national training plan.

Founded in 1974, it was originally Huaibei Branch of Anhui Normal University. 1978 12 menstrual period was approved by the State Council, and it was named Huaibei Coal Teachers College, which was under the former Ministry of Coal Industry. 1September 1998, the management system of "central and local governments * * *, with Anhui Province as the main management" was implemented.
