Qinghai University, referred to as Qingda for short, is located in the northern suburb of Xining, the capital of Qinghai Province, and was founded in 1958. [It is a "2 1 1 project" jointly built by Tsinghua University, Northwest A&F University, China Geo University, Ministry of Education and Qinghai Province. One of the key universities in the Midwest National Comprehensive Strength Improvement Project 14, the pilot universities for the reform of "Excellent Doctor Education and Training Plan", "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" and "Excellent Agricultural and Forestry Talents Education and Training Plan", a member of "Midwest University Alliance", one of the governing units of "China University Media Alliance" and one of the universities of "Western Computer Education Promotion Plan".
