Introduction to Qingdao University of Technology Qingdao University of Technology is a multidisciplinary university focusing on engineering, featuring civil construction, machinery manufacturing and environmental energy, and combining science education with humanities education. It is the first batch of "11plan" construction units of local universities in China, the first batch of demonstration universities in China to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and the key university in Shandong Province to train applied basic talents.
The school was founded in 1952, and successively belonged to the former Ministry of Heavy Industry and the former Ministry of Metallurgical Industry. From 1998 to the leadership of Shandong province, the management system of "the establishment of central and local governments, with local management as the mainstay" was implemented. Shandong Institute of Metallurgy and Qingdao Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture were renamed Qingdao University of Technology in 2004.
