Development course of Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology:

Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology is a national "double-first-class" construction university, which is a Class A construction university in Jiangsu Province's high-level university construction peak plan. The school was born to serve the national strategy of new China and the needs of national economic construction. 1960 the school of meteorology of Nanjing university (the predecessor of the school) was established and was affiliated to the former meteorological bureau of the central military commission.

Nanjing Institute of Meteorology 1963 was established independently, and 1978 was listed as a national key university. In 2000, he was transferred to the leadership of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and renamed Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology in 2004.
