What is the pronunciation of Xu Shoushang?
Xu shouchang made two noises.

Xu Shoushang (1883—1948 February 18), a native of Shaoxing, Zhejiang, was a famous scholar and biographer in modern China. He studied in Shao Jun Chinese and Western School and Hangzhou Qiushi College in his early years. 1902 was sent by Zhejiang officials to study in Japan, and went to Hong Wen College in Tokyo to study Japanese. He made friends with Lu Xun and Coco Li and became lifelong friends. 1937 co-edited Lu Xun Chronicle with Zhou Zuoren.

He has served as a professor in Peking University, Beijing Normal University, Chengdu West China University and Northwest United University. 1946, at the invitation of Chen Yi, the chief executive of Taiwan Province Province, presided over the compilation museum of Taiwan Province Province. Shortly after its abolition, it was brought under the jurisdiction of the education department and transferred to Taiwan Province Provincial University to teach, often criticizing the fascist education reform of the Kuomintang. 1948 February 18 was assassinated in the dormitory of NTU.

He edited Zhejiang Tide and then transferred to Tokyo Normal University to study. In thirty-four years (1908), he joined the revolutionary group Guangfu Association together with Lu Xun. In April of the following year, he returned to China and served as the provost of Zhejiang two-level normal schools.

After the Revolution of 1911, he served as secretary of Zhejiang Military and Political Department. After the establishment of Nanjing Provisional Government, at the invitation of Cai Yuanpei, Chief of Education, he was appointed as a teacher, section chief, counselor and director of the General Education Department of the Ministry of Education, and concurrently served as a professor in Peking University and Beijing Normal Schools. 19 17 Since winter, he has served as the director of Jiangxi Education Department, the editorial board of the Ministry of Education, and the principal of Beijing Women's Normal School.
