College students take the second-class A exam. The Putonghua test is divided into three levels and six levels, namely, level one, level two and level three, with level one being the highest level. College students can achieve at least Grade 2 and Grade 1 in the exam, that is, when reciting and talking freely, they can basically achieve correct pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar, basic standard vowel pronunciation, natural intonation and smooth expression. Putonghua is another name of modern standard Chinese, which is a common language with Beijing accent as the standard pronunciation, northern Mandarin as the basic dialect and typical modern vernacular as the grammatical norm. Chinese is different from Putonghua. The promotion of Putonghua is not to eliminate dialects artificially, but mainly to eliminate dialect barriers, which is conducive to social communication and is not contradictory to people's use of inherited dialects.
