The Zhengsong Dynasty was the golden age of the development of Jiangxi classical literature, and a large number of outstanding writers and literary schools emerged in poetry and literature. Ouyang Xiu, Wang Anshi and Ceng Gong, once known as the "Eight Masters of Tang and Song Dynasties", were all from Jiangxi, and they were born almost at the same time. They rewarded and supported each other, forming a friendship between teachers and students, and * * * created a heroic text that shocked the world and customs, which was passed down as a much-told story. What is more commendable is that they all led or promoted the ancient prose movement in the Song Dynasty with the same theme and unique artistic style, which had a great influence in the history of China literature. This paper intends to make a rough comparison of their prose artistic styles.

Characteristics of Wang Anshi's Prose
Wang Anshi's prose (102 1- 1086) is close to the practical problems of society, politics and life and directly serves his political struggle. Answering Sima Guang's suggestion to analyze Sima Guang's rhetoric against the New Deal was concise, tactful and firm, and clearly showed his political views. Read the Biography of Meng Changjun, analyze historical facts, refute Meng Changjun's traditional concept of cultivating scholars, and talk about how to be a "scholar". Even in an article like Shang, the author's intention is not to express his thoughts, but to emphasize the importance of learning the day after tomorrow.
In the most eloquent and interesting style of travel notes, Wang Anshi often introduces philosophical themes. For example, in "A Journey to the Treasure Toad Mountain", nearly half of the space is devoted to discussing such a rational problem: if you want to do anything beyond the conventional realm, you need to make extraordinary efforts and have super will. Besides, there is no shortcut.
Wang Anshi's prose is mostly argumentative. He didn't pay much attention to the atmosphere of the article and moved people emotionally. Instead, it criticized the current disadvantages and put forward clear opinions on the basis of profound analysis. Therefore, his prose generally has strong generalization and logic, concise language, unpretentious and extraordinary ideas.
Characteristics of Wang Anshi's Prose (1) His prose generally implements his literary thoughts, with vigorous brushwork and profound writing style. (2) Being good at argumentation and reasoning, some articles give people a vivid image and weak artistic appeal. (3) The language is concise and lively.
Characteristics of Ceng Gong's Prose
Ceng Gong (10 19- 1083), a native of Nanfeng County, Jianchang Army, was an important backbone of the new ancient prose movement in the Song Dynasty and one of the eight masters in the Tang and Song Dynasties. Ceng Gong, who is "twelve years old and speaks amazingly", is alert and intelligent; As an adult, you came out because of literature? It was highly appreciated by Ouyang Xiu, the literary leader at that time. Ceng Gong has a strong Confucianism, advocates the theory that "Tao precedes literature" and attaches importance to the moral cultivation of writers. His academic and articles were widely known before his death, especially after his death. Ceng Gong's prose works are rich, especially his comments and records. . His argumentative paper is full of arguments, full of branches and leaves, full of twists and turns, calm and sincere; Remember? The text is clear, concise, vivid and intriguing.
Characteristics of Ceng Gong's Prose: (1) Among the ancient writers in Song Dynasty, Ceng Gong's theory and creation are the closest to Ouyang Xiu's. (2) More emphasis is placed on the position and role of Confucianism as feudal orthodoxy. (3) In the view of later ancient writers, Ceng Gong and Ouyang Xiu were the people who wrote Yi Fa, while Ceng Gong generally quoted the classics to understand the details of the works. Known as "quaint" and fair. (4) His preface, miscellaneous notes and letters are quite distinctive. Preface to the Book shifts the narrative focus from books to human atmosphere. (5) In writing, Ceng Gong used the knowledge of sages, strengthened the connotation of articles, and pursued elegant style of writing. No matter how he narrated and discussed, he was outspoken, complete in layout, slow in pace, clean in language, clear in thinking, simple and mellow in articles, and rigorous in composition, which was the most convenient to learn among the "Eight Masters" in Tang and Song Dynasties.
Comparison of Prose between Ceng Gong and Wang Anshi
Ceng Gong made great achievements in prose creation, and was an active participant in the poetry innovation movement in the Northern Song Dynasty. He learned from Sima Qian, Han Yu and Ouyang Xiu, and advocated "Ming Dow as the body of writing", which extended Ouyang Xiu's view of "keeping promises and having a proper way to speak" to historical biography literature and inscriptions. His argumentative essays analyze whispers, clarify doubts, stand on one's own feet, analyze and distinguish difficulties, and show no edge. His narrative prose is rich in information and emotion, and his arguments are pertinent and vivid. Wang Anshi once praised: "Ceng Zi's articles are rare in the world, and water is a bucket of Jianghan stars." (Gu). Su Shi also said: "the meaning of drunkenness is not in wine, so it is difficult to go to heaven;" Ceng Zi has an anecdote and is ignorant. " .
Ouyang Xiu's achievement in prose creation is that on the basis of studying the works of predecessors such as Sima Qian and Han Yu, discussion, narration, scenery description and lyric are integrated into one, which has become an indispensable creative method and brought into play the superiority of prose creation without being bound by two tones. As far as the content of the works is concerned, Ouyang Xiu's prose is good at narration, scenery description and lyricism, and has certain ideological content. As far as writing skills are concerned, Ouyang Xiu's prose is good at using pens, swallowing foreign countries and cadence. It is full of twists and turns, smooth momentum, sonorous syllables, beautiful charm and high artistry. Su Shi said that his prose "talks about avenues like Han Yu, things like Lu Zhi, and notes like Sima Qian" (Preface to the Collection of laity). It is a very general description of Ouyang Xiu's writing achievements inherited from previous writers.
