Many self-taught candidates can't tell the difference between the degree English test and the self-taught English test (2), and mistakenly think that they are the same test.

Let's look at the differences between them. I hope the students will stop being confused.

1, English (2)

English (II) is a basic course for self-taught undergraduates, with a course credit of 14, which is the highest among all subjects, and the textbooks used are still national textbooks.

The examination takes the form of written examination, including reading judgment, reading choice, summarizing the general idea of paragraphs and completing sentences, filling in sentences, filling in words, cloze and writing short articles.

English (2) full score 100, 60 points qualified. According to the regulations of Hubei province for applying for self-taught examination without examination, students who have passed CET-6 written examination can take English (II) course without examination.

Note: English (2) exemption is subject to the school policy, because some schools do not accept English (2) exemption to apply for a degree.

2. Degree English

Degree English, the full name of English proficiency test for bachelor's degree in adult higher education, is one of the necessary conditions for undergraduate graduates of adult higher education in various provinces and cities to obtain adult bachelor's degree.

The examination form is mainly written, including vocabulary and grammatical structure, reading comprehension, cloze, translation, practical writing and other questions.

There is no "passing line" for degree English, only the list of candidates who have passed the degree English is published. Under normal circumstances, if you want to get a degree certificate, you must pass the degree foreign language exam, and there is no exemption.

Note: Individual institutions may be exempted from taking the degree English test. As for the specific exemption conditions, please refer to the announcement issued by the provincial admissions examination institutes or the regulations of the admissions colleges!
