Loneliness of college students and its coping strategies
The concept of loneliness originally came from medicine, which is used to express the dysfunction of interpersonal communication and emotional expression. Later, psychologists introduced the concept of loneliness into "social psychology" and discussed its concept, content and significance to some extent. From 65438 to 0973, influenced by Balbi's attachment theory, Robert, an American scholar, published "Loneliness —— A Lonely Experience of Emotion and Society". The article points out that loneliness is a subjective psychological feeling or experience when individuals feel that they lack satisfactory interpersonal relationships and their desire for communication is not up to the actual level of communication. This started the study of loneliness. Domestic scholars have also described loneliness. Huang Xiting believes that loneliness is a negative emotional experience, and it is an unpleasant emotion caused by individuals' desire for interpersonal communication and intimacy. In addition, Li Chuanyin and others have made a more comprehensive definition of loneliness after summarizing various explanations about loneliness at home and abroad: they believe that loneliness is a subjective psychological feeling or experience caused by the lack of satisfactory interpersonal relationship and the gap between the desire for communication and their actual level, often accompanied by bad emotional reactions such as loneliness, isolation, helplessness and depression and unbearable spiritual emptiness.

In the study of loneliness, psychologists divide the types of loneliness into three different types from different angles: emotional loneliness and social loneliness, long-term loneliness, situational loneliness and temporary loneliness, and active loneliness and passive loneliness. On this basis, this paper analyzes the meaning of college students' loneliness, which means that college students lack communication with others' thoughts, feelings and languages, so they feel isolated and full of loneliness. This kind of loneliness will make college students feel depressed, lonely and manic, resulting in psychological barriers and pessimism, thus affecting the healthy growth of college students and the formation of correct outlook on life, values and world outlook.
