The Development Goal of the School of Politics and Law of Northeast Normal University
The professional development goal of our college is to optimize the professional configuration, broaden the professional caliber, consolidate the professional foundation, enhance the professional level, strengthen the professional characteristics, and strive to form a new pattern of professional construction with complete disciplines, reasonable layout, distinctive features, moderate scale and high quality. The specific objectives are as follows:

1. On the basis of maintaining the existing pattern, the undergraduate major will further transform the ideological and political education major into a brand major with rich disciplines, rich professional connotations from undergraduate to master's and doctoral students, and obvious professional advantages, and continue to be at the leading level among similar majors in colleges and universities across the country, striving to establish a doctoral program in political science;

Law major has developed into undergraduate major and 3-5 master majors, which has distinctive professional characteristics and important influence in Northeast China and surrounding areas.

Sociology has developed into a professional construction plan for undergraduate majors and two sociology master majors, monopolizing law schools.

2. Further improve the number and level of master's programs and doctoral programs, and strive to add five master's programs within three years on the existing basis; Strive to establish and build doctoral programs in political science and Marxist philosophy within two years;

3. Further improve the quality and level of academic research, so as to achieve rapid growth in quantity and quality of academic research results;

4. Further improve the number and level of professional teachers, so that teachers can fully meet the actual needs of professional construction and development;

5. Further reform and improve the professional personnel training mechanism, and strive to make the quality and level of personnel training in the forefront of similar universities.
