Osaka Public University is a newly established public university in April 2022, which was formed by the merger of osaka prefecture university and osaka city university. The merged new university has the original excellent majors of law, medicine, business, science and engineering of the city university, and the advantages of the two universities complement each other, so it has attracted much attention in the improvement of education level and ranking at home and abroad.
Osaka city university, or OCU/ Metropolitan University for short, is a public university located in Osaka, Osaka Prefecture. Its predecessor was the Osaka Business Workshop established in Meiji/KOOC-0/3 (/KOOC-0/880) by/KOOC-0/6 Osaka business celebrities represented by the Five Dynasties. Selected into the excellent graduate school program, it is now one of the top comprehensive research-oriented public universities in Japan and one of the three established business universities in Japan (Osaka Business University).
