The occurrence of the accident tree top event is necessarily the result of the simultaneous occurrence of the basic events in the minimum cut set. Once an accident happens, you can easily know all the possible ways of the accident, and quickly find out the minimum cut set of the accident, which is the collection of basic events that led to the accident.

(3) Put forward the control direction and preventive measures to reduce the system risk. From the minimum cut set of fault tree, we can intuitively judge which accident mode is the most dangerous, which is the second and which can be ignored, and how to take measures to reduce the probability of accidents.
