The research projects of oral and maxillofacial surgery in Peking University Stomatological Hospital have a fine division of labor. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is the first batch of doctoral units authorized by the State Council Academic Degree Committee. /kloc-0 trained the first doctor in China in 1984, and now 59 doctors, 40 masters, 20 seven-year postgraduate students and 5 postdoctoral students have been trained. Professor Mao (190 1- 1979) is a famous stomatologist and educator in China. He is the founder of orthodontics in China and has made great contributions to the establishment, development and personnel training of orthodontics in China. 65438-0930 Graduated from Department of Stomatology, West China Union Medical College, Ph.D.. He is the only first-class professor of stomatology. More than half a century ago, he proposed that "stomatology is a biological discipline" and that "stomatology has important links with other medical disciplines, natural sciences and social sciences", and has made important achievements in academic thought. Professor Huang Jinfang (1922-1997)1949 graduated from Beijing Medical College. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors and Academic Committee of Beijing Medical College, the first leader of Orthodontics Group of Stomatology Association of Chinese Medical Association, a consultant of Orthodontics Committee of Chinese Stomatological Association, a member of the editorial board of stomatology teaching materials of higher medical colleges of Ministry of Health, and a Chinese Journal of Stomatology. Through her unremitting efforts, orthodontics became the first batch of clinical doctoral programs in stomatology, separated from orthodontics, established an independent teaching and research department, published a unified national stomatology textbook, and served as the editor-in-chief of the first edition of Orthodontics, which laid the first solid foundation for the vigorous development of orthodontics today and accelerated the development of orthodontics in China. Prosthodontics Department, located on the first floor of the outpatient building, is the largest outpatient department of Peking University School of Stomatology. There are 6 large and small consulting rooms and 50 comprehensive dental treatment tables, with about 220 outpatient visits every day.

The Department undertakes the teaching tasks of undergraduates, postgraduates and advanced students of stomatology in Peking University, and undertakes the national continuing education project.

Professor Gao, the current head of the department, is a doctoral supervisor. Graduate student graduated from Beijing Medical College (now peking university health science center) and studied in Britain and the United States. He is also the vice chairman of the professional Committee of dental pulp diseases of Chinese Stomatological Association.
