Shaanxi Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public college. Its predecessor was Shaanxi Vocational Education Center, a key construction project in the Ninth Five-Year Plan of Shaanxi Province, which was established on1October 20th.

200 1 With the approval of the provincial government, Shaanxi Vocational and Technical College was established on the basis of the provincial vocational education center. College is a full-time public institution of higher learning directly under the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education. The college has been identified by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as the backbone construction unit of the "National Model Higher Vocational College Construction Plan".

It is an excellent college with excellent talent training level in higher vocational colleges of the Ministry of Education and a construction unit of demonstration higher vocational colleges in Shaanxi Province. With the approval of the provincial government, xi 'an Foreign Trade Staff University (Shaanxi Foreign Trade College) was merged into the college on 20 16 and 12, and Xi 'an Foreign Trade Staff University was merged into the school, so the school history can be traced back to 1978.

The college is located in Xi 'an, an ancient city, with two campuses, Chang 'an and Bailuyuan. Bailuyuan Campus is located on Bailuyuan by Ba River, and Chang 'an Campus is located on Shaoling Plateau by Chan River, with a long history, beautiful environment and beautiful scenery.

The two campuses cover an area of 977.05 mu, with a building area of 342,000 square meters. There are more than 4000 students/KLOC-0, and more than 700 full-time and part-time teachers. 20 19 12 was listed as the third type of high-level professional group construction unit (file b) by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance.
