On May 7th, 1 1, teachers and students of our college listened to an academic report on the theme of "Synthesis and Biological Activity of Nitrogen-Oxygen Heterocyclic Compounds" at 60 1, West Foreign Languages Building. The speaker is Tang Zilong, a professor at the Key Laboratory of Theoretical Organic Chemistry and Functional Molecules of the Ministry of Education of Hunan University of Science and Technology, and Xu Zhifeng, the president of our college, is the host. ?

Professor Tang briefly introduced nitrogen-oxygen heterocyclic compounds and their applications, and took the synthesis of o-aminomethylphenol and 1, 3- benzoxazinone compounds and their substituted compounds as examples to explain in detail the synthesis process of target compounds in organic laboratories. As a senior experimental teacher, Professor Tang warned everyone with rich experimental experience to be brave in finding problems in experiments and make unremitting efforts to find solutions to them. In his report, he repeatedly emphasized the rigor of scientific research, and there was no room for slack in the experiment. During the interaction between teachers and students, teachers and students in our college asked Professor Tang questions in succession, and the reports were very active. ?
