First, the characteristics of juvenile delinquency
1, robbery and theft are the most common crimes, followed by intentional injury and rape. The motive of this kind of juvenile delinquency is relatively simple, generally in pursuit of material enjoyment and spiritual stimulation. In addition, they lack effective restraint, have weak legal awareness, love leisure and hate work, and have embarked on the road of crime.
2. The number of crimes committed by gangs or with adults has increased. Due to the lack of their own ability and social experience, minors often gang up or commit crimes with adults.
3. The minors involved are mostly concentrated in groups such as farming, dropping out of school, and working in cities. In 23 cases of juvenile delinquency in our hospital in recent three years, 20 defendants had junior high school education or below, and all of them dropped out of school and were unemployed for a long time.
Second, the causes of juvenile delinquency
1, family reasons. According to the investigation and analysis of juvenile delinquency cases in our hospital, the family status of most juvenile offenders is biased, either single-parent families, left-behind families or poor families. In the process of growing up, family education is often missing or not in place. Some parents indulge or connive at everything about their children, and even abandon their children after knowing that they have committed a crime.
2. School reasons. In recent years, our primary and secondary schools still focus on the enrollment rate, ignoring moral education and legal education for students, paying attention to students with good grades, and lacking care and help for some students with poor grades, which leads them to abandon themselves and eventually leave school and flow to society.
3, their own reasons. Because minors are not mature physically and mentally, they are prone to impulsive troubles and even crimes; Minors who have just entered the society are at a loss and confused about various social phenomena, and are improperly guided by the internet and public opinion, making them hate society or being used by people with ulterior motives to commit crimes.
4. Social reasons. With the rapid development of society, the gap between the rich and the poor is widening, money worship and hedonism are prevalent in society, and a large number of violent pornographic information is flooding, which often has a negative impact on the formation of minors' outlook on life, morality and values.
