The state ensures that active servicemen enjoy welfare benefits commensurate with their posts, and gives preferential treatment to active servicemen working in areas or posts with difficult conditions such as border defense and coastal defense.
The state practices the military insurance system.
Article 61 The State shall properly resettle ex-servicemen and provide them with necessary vocational training to ensure their living and welfare.
The people's governments at or above the county level shall be responsible for the resettlement of retired soldiers, and arrange their work according to their post grades, contributions and expertise in the army.
Units that receive retired soldiers shall, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state, give preferential treatment in welfare, education and housing.
