The Historical Evolution of Broadcasting Hosting Art College of China Communication University
Broadcasting and hosting College was established in September 1996, and it is one of the secondary colleges of Communication University of China. Its predecessor was the Broadcasting Department of Beijing Broadcasting Institute, which was founded in 1963. The Academy of Radio and Television Hosting Art is the earliest and most influential teaching base in China to train high-level talents majoring in radio and television broadcasting and hosting art, and it is also the scientific research base for the study of radio and television language communication and applied linguistics in China.

At present, the college has a broadcasting department, a broadcasting host art research institute, a language communication research institute and a Putonghua proficiency testing center. A training and exchange center for radio and television announcers and program hosts has been established. At present, there are more than 50 full-time teaching and research personnel, more than 50% of whom have the title of subtropical high or above. There are 800 full-time students, including graduate students 100. College Linguistics and Applied Linguistics are key disciplines at ministerial level, and they are also traditional dominant disciplines of Communication University of China, among which China Broadcasting is the most important. This subject is the first batch of master's degree authorization points in China, and was awarded the right of doctoral degree in 2000. In 2005, China Broadcasting was separated from linguistics and applied linguistics, and two disciplines of "Radio and Television Language Communication" were independently added under the first-class discipline of journalism and communication, and doctoral students were recruited. On this basis, in 2006, the three master's majors of broadcasting and hosting were separated from linguistics and applied linguistics, and the master's major of "Radio and Television Language Communication" was added, and enrollment began. There are 14 doctoral tutors and master's tutors in the School of Broadcasting. The college has a group of first-class experts and scholars in China and has undertaken a number of national and provincial scientific research projects. College teaching and research conditions are good, with more than 60 TV studios (rooms) and broadcast teaching quotations rooms, equipped with the most advanced digital video and audio equipment; The Putonghua proficiency test laboratory and computational linguistics laboratory are also equipped with first-class facilities in China.
