Anhui medical university
Anhui Medical University is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning in Anhui Province and the first medical college in Anhui Province. The school is located in Hefei, a famous historical and cultural city, and is known as "the lips and teeth of Jiangnan and the throat on the right side of Huaihe River". It undertakes the mission of teaching and educating people and cultivating talents to serve the country. The school is a key university in Anhui Province, jointly established by the Ministry of Education, National Health Commission and Anhui Province, the first batch of high-level universities with local characteristics in Anhui Province, and the first batch of comprehensive reform pilot schools.
The school, formerly known as Southeast Medical University, was founded in Shanghai, 1926. 1949 responded to the call of the Central East China Bureau to "face the countryside and go inland" and moved to Huaiyuan, Anhui. 1952 is located in Hefei and renamed as Anhui Medical College. 1985 changed its name to Anhui Medical University. As the birthplace of Anhui medical higher education, the school has been leading the construction and development of higher medical education in our province, and is the founder and leader of Anhui health system.
