Measures for the implementation of independent selection and admission of Hubei University of Technology in 2007

The pilot work of independent selection and admission reform aims to further deepen the reform of college enrollment system, further expand the autonomy of college enrollment, comprehensively promote quality education, and select talents with training potential without exception. According to the spirit of the Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education on Doing a Good Job in the Pilot Work of Independent Selection and Admission Reform in Colleges and Universities and the requirements of the Ministry of Education's document 20041February 16. In order to further improve the pilot work of independent selection and admission reform in 2007, these implementation measures are formulated.

I. Organizational structure

The school enrollment leading group leads the pilot work of independent selection and admission reform, and forms an assessment team with experts in humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and moral education of students as members to conduct test and assessment. The Admissions and Employment Guidance Office is responsible for the implementation of the specific work plan.

Second, the guiding ideology and principles

The pilot work of independent selection and admission reform should conscientiously implement the party's educational policy and reflect the requirements of educational innovation and quality education; Follow the principles of fairness, justice, openness and merit-based admission.

According to the needs of innovative education and professional training, under the guidance of the Provincial Department of Education, the pilot work of independent selection and admission reform should strictly standardize the working procedures, actively explore the diversified selection and admission forms combining unified examination admission with diversified examination evaluation, and independently select and enroll outstanding talents with individuality.

Third, the enrollment target

High school graduates from Hubei Province who are qualified to take the unified entrance examination for ordinary colleges and universities nationwide (in principle, only high school graduates from key middle schools at or above the county level are recruited).

Fourth, the enrollment plan

In 2007, our school's self-selected enrollment plan was controlled within 5% of the total annual undergraduate enrollment plan, with both arts and sciences.

Verb (abbreviation of verb) registration conditions

Those who meet one of the following conditions can register:

(1) Those who participated in the national Olympic competition in five disciplines, namely, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and informatics, and won the third prize at or above the provincial level in high school;

(2) those who have won the honorary title at or above the provincial level in high school;

(3) In senior high school, people with special expertise and skills in a certain subject or aspect (such as scientific and technological inventions, published scientific papers, literary creation, English, etc.). ) or has outstanding training potential in a certain discipline set up by our school;

(4) Excellent students with good comprehensive quality and all-round development in morality, intelligence and physique recommended by provincial key middle schools, provincial model middle schools and municipal (county) key middle schools.

Registration procedure of intransitive verbs

(1) Information release: The school makes full use of the provincial news media, campus network and local and municipal recruitment offices to release independent enrollment information, and at the same time distributes independent enrollment materials to relevant middle schools, and selectively consults in some key middle schools.

(2) Registration: In 2007, our school enrolled students independently by combining online registration with paper registration. Candidates who meet the registration requirements first log on to our enrollment website for online registration. According to the award-winning situation and quality development, fill out the Application Form for Independent Selection and Admission of Hubei University of Technology. After successful online registration, print the completed Application Form for Independent Selection and Admission of Hubei University of Technology, and the secondary school where you are located will sign the recommendation and affix the official seal. Bind together with the copies of relevant supporting materials into a book (A4 copy paper) and send it to the Admissions Office of our school before March 3, 20071(subject to the postmark of the mailing date). Registration will not be accepted after the deadline.

(3) Preliminary examination: The Admissions and Employment Guidance Office contacts the recommended school to verify and preliminarily examine the candidates' materials, and divides them into liberal arts group, science group, scientific and technological invention group and comprehensive quality group according to the candidates' situation, determines the list of students participating in the interview assessment in each group, and informs the candidates of the specific arrangements for the assessment through the website. The interview and assessment time is tentatively scheduled for April 2007 17- 18. Please refer to the website announcement for details.

(4) Interview assessment: The expert assessment team formed by the school mainly conducts relevant assessment and evaluation on the candidates by interview, comprehensively evaluates the candidates' ideological and moral character, study and research ability, social organization ability, professional interest, professional expertise and skills, and then proposes the candidates. Candidates participating in the interview assessment are required to submit the original certificate of honor or award-winning certificate, and the school cancels the interview qualification of candidates without the original certificate.

(V) Determination of shortlisted candidates: The shortlisted candidates shall be examined and determined by the school enrollment leading group. The number of short-listed candidates is determined by 150% of the self-selected enrollment plan. After the shortlisted candidates are publicized on the school enrollment website and the middle school where the candidates are located, they are reported to the Hubei Provincial Admissions Office for the record.

(6) Admission:

1. Short-listed candidates are required to take the 2007 national unified entrance examination for ordinary colleges and universities, and their college entrance examination scores have reached the second batch of admission control scores for undergraduate students in Hubei Province.

2. The school conducts comprehensive evaluation and independent selection and admission of the shortlisted candidates who have passed the preliminary examination, met the requirements of the unified examination results and applied for our school for the first time. In principle, meet the first professional volunteer of the shortlisted candidates.

3. If the number of students with the first choice is insufficient, the short-listed candidates who fill in the second choice can be admitted.

(4) Recommend middle schools and candidates themselves should be based on the principle of "honesty", and the self-recommendation and recommendation materials must be true. If there is fraud, once verified, the qualification of recommending students to be shortlisted and the three-year recommendation qualification of candidates in the middle school will be cancelled.
