How to calculate the GPA of Peking University?
The general calculation method of most universities in China is: grade point = score/10-5, credit grade point = credit * grade point = credit * (grade point edition/10-5) (if the score is above 90, it will be calculated as 90).

Average GPA: (course credits 1 * GPA+ course credits 2 * GPA+ course credits n* GPA)/ (course credits 1+ course credits 2+ course credits n).

In order to make GPA accurately evaluate students' learning situation, the Academic Affairs Office also stipulates that all courses roughly conform to the normal distribution, and once again emphasizes that the excellent rate (above 85 points) should not exceed 20% in principle, and the unqualified rate (below 60 points) is 1%- 10%.

The grade point system is one of the important supporting measures to implement the credit system. Since China 1985 began to advocate the implementation of the credit system, there have been many discussions and studies on the credit system.

The lack of discussion on the grade point system has affected the smooth implementation of the credit system. This paper analyzes and studies many problems existing in the process of adopting the grade point system in domestic universities, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures on the basis of comparing with the grade point system implemented in American universities.

Peking University will fully implement ——GPA, an internationally accepted evaluation system for students' academic performance. The Academic Affairs Office of Peking University decided that all the courses that students have taken since grade 2002 (students before grade 2002 still follow the rules formulated by each department) will be automatically calculated by the computer and included in the report card. The Academic Affairs Office has written this mechanism into the Detailed Rules for the Management of College Students' Student Status.
