Princeton university ranking: the first in the United States, the fifth in the world. Princeton University, referred to as "Princeton" for short, is a private research university, founded in 1746, located in Princeton, New Jersey, on the east coast of the United States. It is one of the founding institutions of 14 in association of american universities and a member of the Ivy League.
