Radio and television journalism was founded in 2002 and entered school in 2003. In 2008, he left the Chinese Department and became an independent department. 20 10 enrolled the first batch of key undergraduate students.

After nine years' development, the Department of Radio and Television Journalism has a young and dynamic faculty, including full-time teachers 14, including 3 senior titles, 2 doctoral students, 2 doctoral students and 8 master students. Teachers have strong scientific research ability, and now they undertake the projects of the National Philosophy and Social Sciences Fund, the Humanities and Social Sciences Fund of the Ministry of Education and the Philosophy and Social Sciences Fund of the Corps, and have published more than 40 academic papers in core journals such as China Literature Research, Social Scientists, Contemporary Communication, News Fans, Journal of Henan Normal University and Frontier. At present, there are two majors, TV, broadcasting and hosting, to train professionals who can engage in news interview, writing, reporting, editing, production, planning, hosting, commenting and radio and television news management for radio and television news media. There are internship opportunities in the school for half a year, and at the same time, there are clubs with outstanding professional characteristics such as Media Freshmen Magazine and Yidishui Film Club in the department, which provide a good platform for exercising ability. Nearly 300 professionals have been trained for news media, party and government organs, enterprises and institutions. Some graduates work in Hong Kong Cable TV, China News Agency, Hong Kong Ta Kung Pao, autonomous region TV station, Corps TV station, Corps Daily and other media.
