Henan University of Science and Technology is located in Luoyang City, Henan Province. It is an excellent university jointly established by the National Defense Science and Technology Bureau and the People's Government of Henan Province, supported by the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions of the country, the construction of key characteristic universities in Henan Province, and evaluated by the Ministry of Education.

Henan University of Science and Technology has two campuses, Kaiyuan and Xiyuan. Kaiyuan Campus is located in Luolong District. There are three dormitory areas, namely Jiayuan, Jingyuan and Gan Yuan. Most colleges live in Kaiyuan Campus.
