Shape memory plastic is a new type of heat-sensitive functional material. It is a polymer material, which can be deformed at a constant temperature higher than room temperature, fixed at room temperature and preserved for a long time. When it is heated to a certain temperature, it can quickly return to its original shape.

A new type of shape memory plastic developed by Professor Xie Tao from the School of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering, Zhejiang University, can be implanted with complex shape memory for many times, and will show various deformations when heated.
