At present, Dalian Maritime University Law School has an international legal doctor degree authorization point, a first-class legal master degree authorization point and a professional legal master degree authorization point. It is a law school with a national first-class discipline ranking of 13 (ranked by the National Institute of Degree and Postgraduate Education Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes in 2004), a legislative advisory unit of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Liaoning Province, with international law as a key discipline and the International Maritime Law Research Center as the only key research base of law, humanities and social sciences in Liaoning Province.
