The development of history

The major of electrical engineering and automation in Zhengzhou University was founded in February 1959 (formerly the electrical engineering department of Zhengzhou University), and was placed in the newly established electrical engineering department of Zhengzhou Institute of Technology in August/963 (formerly the major of power grid and power system, 1977 was renamed as the major of power system and automation, and 1996 was renamed as Zhengzhou Institute of Technology). After decades of construction, this major has made great progress. The old teachers who have been working in this major during this period are: Feng Yousen, Yang, Lou, Guo Jialin, Yang Wanhui, Liu Baoren, Yuan Hefeng, Sun Xianglin, Qi Liangdi, Yu Zhenya, Song Junxian and Professor Qin Qiancheng. 1999 according to the professional adjustment catalogue of the Ministry of Education, it was renamed as electrical engineering and automation specialty according to the name of the first-class discipline.

In July 2000, Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou University of Technology and Henan Medical University merged, and their majors were transferred to the School of Electrical Engineering of New Zhengzhou University. For more than 50 years, this major has trained a large number of technical talents for China's electric power industry, especially for Henan's electric power industry, and made great contributions to the development of Henan's electric power industry and the rise of the Central Plains. There are 25 faculty members in the Department of Electric Power Engineering, including 7 professors and 7 associate professors, and teachers with doctoral degrees 1 1. The Department of Electric Power Engineering 1990 awarded a master's degree in power system and its automation, namely, power system and its automation, power electronics and power transmission, electrical theory and new technology, motors and appliances, high voltage and insulation technology. The main research directions include power system stability analysis and control, power system analysis and calculation, power system planning and operation analysis, power system load modeling, power electronics technology, power system monitoring and control, power quality analysis and control, application of signal processing in electrical engineering, fault diagnosis of electrical equipment, application of electrical theory and new technology, motor and control and application of artificial intelligence technology in power system. , and achieved gratifying research results. Current Dean: Xu Min; Deputy Directors: Li Canbing, Wang Mingdong and Hai (concurrently); Shop assistant: Hederen.

Professional basic course

Xin Xiaonan, Chang Sheng, Qin Yinan, Zhao and Liao Xiaohui, the automation majors founded by 1963, are the backbone majors with strong strength and distinctive characteristics in the School of Electrical Engineering. This major is a key discipline (control theory and control engineering) in Henan Province and a key construction discipline of "2 1 1 engineering". It has two doctoral programs in control theory and control engineering and five master programs under the first-class master program in control science and engineering (control theory and control engineering, detection technology and automation device, pattern recognition and intelligent system, system engineering and navigation guidance and control).

Automation major has been enrolling students in more than 20 provinces and cities across the country, and has trained thousands of automation professionals for the country. A large number of automation professionals have been trained for Zhengzhou 7 13 Research Institute and Luoyang China Air-to-Air Missile Research Institute (formerly 6 12 Research Institute). Most senior managers and technicians of large and medium-sized enterprises such as Startech graduated from this major. Most middle-level officers of the 54th Army studied in this major and obtained a master's degree in engineering. During the Ninth Five-Year Plan and the Tenth Five-Year Plan, this major successfully promoted the implementation of the national 863/CIMS application demonstration project, and won the national key demonstration province of manufacturing informatization, several national key scientific and technological projects and the national 863 project of Henan Province.

This major undertakes nearly 100 national natural science foundation, national key scientific and technological projects, national 863, provincial outstanding talent innovation fund, provincial outstanding youth fund and major scientific research projects, and has won the National Science and Technology Achievement Award 1, the Second Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress of the State Education Commission 1 and dozens of Second Prizes of Scientific and Technological Progress. Scientific research achievements are in thermal power plants and major horizontal scientific research projects. Biomedical engineering specialty of Zhengzhou University is characterized by the application of microelectronics, computer technology and information processing technology in the fields of medicine and biology, and it is a wide-caliber specialty to train engineers who can analyze problems from both engineering and biomedicine. Students should not only study electronic information courses, but also learn the basic knowledge of medicine and biology.

Since 200 1, Zhengzhou university has set up a biomedical engineering major and a biomedical engineering department based on the microelectronics department of the School of Electrical Engineering. The Department of Biomedical Engineering has full-time teachers 14, including professors 1 person, 5 associate professors, 6 lecturers, 2 engineers and 2 teaching assistants. Three doctors, eight masters, and two visiting scholars abroad (Britain and Japan) have all returned to work.

Teachers of Biomedical Engineering Department come from more than ten universities including Tsinghua University, Nankai University, Xi Jiaotong University, Fourth Military Medical University, Tongji University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Hefei University of Technology, Hunan University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and Zhengzhou University.
