Baoshan College is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. It is located in Baoshan City, Yunnan Province, and implements a provincial-based management system. The history of Baoshan College can be traced back to Yongchang Normal School, founded in 1905, and Baoshan Normal College, founded in 1978, is one of the earliest four normal colleges in Yunnan Province.

Approved by the Ministry of Education in April 2009, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college, which was organized by the People's Government of Yunnan Province.
