In Fortress Besieged, a magnificent novel by unofficial history, a modern scholar, it seems that only this character has not been ridiculed by Mr. Qian's pen like a knife. Analogous to The Scholars, there is also such a figure-Du. For Wu, Du is his ideal in life, so he naturally can't add irony. And for Mr. Qian Zhongshu, is it the same? Is it because Tang Xiaofu is really his dream lover, not a goddess, so he will never be sarcastic? I will analyze it later. But first, let's take a look at Mr. Qian's own statement:
In the book, Mr. Qian said this:
These two paragraphs are very interesting in themselves. In fact, the rhetorical question of the first paragraph of money has clearly stated his statement. Tang Xiaofu is not his dream lover or goddess. In the second paragraph, the statement in the book is more clear. As time goes by in the book, Tang Xiaofu is not even the goddess and dream lover of Fang Hung-chien. Don't be fooled by my previous metaphor. Qian Zhongshu is not Zhang Ailing, nor are white roses and red roses written here. The implication is actually a more interesting thing. Zhang Ailing wrote about the regret after the choice, while Qian Lao wrote about the final disappointment in life. Even in the mind of Fang Hung-chien, a once infatuated lover, the perfect goddess is just an excuse to mourn, a subject attached to her own feelings. Not to mention the author who opened God's eyes. From the beginning, he described Tang Xiaofu's youth and loveliness, but Qian Lao was actually creating a more solid reason for later mourning. The reason for fading out is actually to stop taking a cruel look at the goddess of the year after losing the blessing of feelings. So, once they meet again in the scene of besieged city, I'm afraid they should be disillusioned.
Let's go back to the role of Tang Xiaofu in the book. It seems more interesting to analyze what is between the lines. It seems more interesting to sniff out some different flavors in novels than to talk about Tang Xiaofu in gossip and discuss whether Jiang Yang is a gossip like Tang Xiaofu.
In the novel Fortress Besieged, the description of Tang Xiaofu's appearance is wonderful. It can almost be said to be a model of praising the goddess. So from then on, everyone thought that Mr. Qian, a recognized bookworm, pursued the love letters copied from time to time, and the frequent scandals seemed to be true.
Shi Lanya's perfect interpretation in TV series gives us a full perceptual knowledge when watching TV series. Although the praise in this passage is in place, there is no pedantry boasted by nerds; But it also reveals the author's own love for this image. It can be said that this seems to be the perfect image of a pure girl in the author's mind. Among them, Tao Qian's Leisure Fu is used to describe "I would like to be led by clothes, and I would like to be led by clothes", which is both bookish and rich, and the metaphor used is also approachable.
(Off-topic, my "Twenty-four Poems Reading Ancient Prose Series" will probably be written in Leisure Fu, and interested friends can pay attention to it).
The meaning of this is easy to understand. This opening text highlights the biggest difference between Tang Xiaofu and other women Fang Hung-chien met, that is, innocence. Before that, Miss Su and Miss Bao were both mature women in typical modern society. It is precisely because of this that it is so natural for Fang Hung-chien to fall in love. Fang Hung-chien accosted Miss Bao, showing his desire, and it was difficult to sublimate his friendship with Miss Su. Later, when he met Sun Roujia, he tried to write some half-hearted love stories. Just for Tang Xiaofu, Fang Hung-chien saw his admiration for beautiful things at a glance. Because of this, Tang Xiaofu is the indispensable hope of this besieged city, which has written all the twists and turns of Fang Hung-chien's life-beautiful, but illusory. Tang Xiaofu here is no longer Tang Xiaofu himself, but the image that Fang Hung-chien imagined by Qian Zhongshu must be regarded as a goddess. However, Fang Hung-chien's performance after meeting Tang Xiaofu for the first time really didn't bury the goddess that Qian always set up for him. Fang Hung-chien tried his best to attract Tang Xiaofu's attention with words. Began a seemingly very sweet love. ...
Some behaviors in Tang Xiaofu's later love did reveal the taste of an innocent girl who was not familiar with the world. However, the details of some things, when people feel it carefully, seem to be not so general, and then people feel that she is not so simple. One is that Fang Hung-chien invited him to dinner. This seems reasonable, because the phone call was not received, so I had to come to the restaurant for dinner; At the same time, he said he was angry with his cousin Sue. A perfect combination of reasons.
These two sets of reasons seem so perfect that even I think Miss Tang has to come because of the situation. Tang Xiaofu, however, don't understand why my cousin stare so tightly? I am afraid not; So what kind of misunderstanding will happen in a rage, I'm afraid she is by no means unexpected. Later, one of her inner activities is more telling:
This kind of inner activity fully opens Mr. Qian's perspective of God. Tang Xiaofu didn't intend to love Fang Hung-chien. The idea of this theme has been clearly expressed here. Sue's so-called vigilance against her made her angry, and she deliberately tried to get close to Fang Hung-chien. Look at Sue's evaluation of his cousin's opposition to the above plot, and you can clearly know the ins and outs of this matter.
The above evaluation can be said to be groundless. When we look at Miss Tang's emotional life together, it is presented to readers in a more comprehensive way.
I don't want to add the title of Green Tea X to Tang Xiaofu who exposed the mask. But for Fang Hung-chien, from his point of view, although he had met Su with rich social experience before, Su still had some true feelings for him, so he showed his true feelings and asked him to pursue him. Tang Xiaofu actually just wants to play with this interesting cousin's ambiguous fans about the charm of girls. Therefore, in fact, in emotional matters, there are no wise men, all of whom are seen by outsiders. And in the end, Tang Xiaofu's declaration of love and partner made people see through this woman's real thoughts more quickly:
It is impossible for Fang Hung-chien to meet such a request, which is completely out of the scope. As a female college student of political science who has quite a lot of social circles and is not bound by family, it seems impossible to know what kind of person Fang Hung-chien is according to his life experience, and it is like being cheated by feelings without Sue's revenge until he is exposed afterwards. ...
Based on the above inference, in fact, Tang Xiaofu in Fortress Besieged is not a positive image. Tang Xiaofu's positive side only exists in Fang Hung-chien's uncontrollable imagination at that time and his mourning afterwards. Compared with Sue, she is actually a woman who plays with Fang Hung-chien's feelings. It is for this reason that I think it is ridiculous to compare the image of Tang Xiaofu with that of Mr. Jiang Yang. The previous interview with Qian Zhongshu was even more naive to remember the crystal. Obviously, he regarded Fortress Besieged as a romantic novel and Qian Lao as the rhythm of Qiong Yao.
Looking back, Fang Hung-chien's inner activities after meeting Tang Xiaofu for the first time were also quite interesting. How can he reflect how an infatuated man guesses his goddess?
This passage is enough to illustrate Fang Hung-chien's blindness. He couldn't understand that Tang Xiaofu's family and temperament actually caused him not to dress up deliberately. This may be related to Fang Hung-chien's family background as a squire. The son of a squire born in Wuxi and the daughter of a lawyer in Shanghai Shili Foreign Exchange are not equal in aesthetic taste. So Fang Hung-chien felt that the image of Tang Xiaofu was so pure and beautiful. Compared with Su's lofty and extravagant style, this kind of low-key luxury of small jasper style is the favorite of petty bourgeoisie evolved from squire.
Of course, from Fang Hung-chien's point of view, Tang Xiaofu's most important experience was his emotional failure. This experience is actually similar to his frustration when he saw Han's Clayton diploma in college. It is precisely because of his own uncertainty about lying that his feelings and career are both frustrated. This is actually the most typical weak thought of small intellectuals. It is also the label that Fang Hung-chien should be labeled most in Fortress Besieged, a weak little intellectual who emerged from the soil of the squire.
In contrast, Tang Xiaofu's image is the person who made the first blow to this little intellectual. Miss Bao, who met by chance, is definitely not. Sue is easy to talk to Fang Hung-chien, so it is impossible, but she has no such weight in Fang's emotional process. Only in this way can we give Fang such a perfect and realistic cruel brand. Because of this, we integrated the main points of Tang Xiaofu's image. A junior in the political department of a university in Beijing-maybe a student of Peking University or Kim. The daughter of a well-known lawyer in Shanghai-her father's townhouse in the concession fully shows the middle class background. At the same time, he is an out-and-out "communication star" in the eyes of his parents. On the whole, it seems that a realistic and scheming image of college girls has come to the fore. Teacher Tang's sarcasm to another cousin, Cao Yuanlang, also fully shows that this is not a purely naive female student.
So if we can really take the initiative to jump out of the perspective of Fang Hung-chien that Mr. Qian preset for readers, maybe we can see Tang Xiaofu more clearly. Instead of guessing whether Mr. Wang has some shadow, or whether what Qian Zhongshu wrote was replaced by Mr. Yang; It is best to read Six Dreams or Water written by Aunt Qiong Yao in another book.
From the comments above, I can already see my attitude towards the besieged image of Tang Xiaofu. This image seems to be a clean stream like Xiaohong in the whole Fortress Besieged. But in fact, careful analysis is not the case. The projection of her image in Fang Hung-chien's consciousness embodies a kind of beautiful hope. Because of this, Tang Xiaofu is the goddess of many young readers who regard Fortress Besieged as a romantic novel.
Finally, let's talk about Tang Xiaofu's name. Fu Xiao is an interesting word, and I feel sorry for Shao Hua. The poem quoted in the title is Liu Yuxi's What Did Li Shangshu Hurt Peacock and Xue Tao? The whole poem is as follows:
In the last two sentences, the word Fu Xiao appeared skillfully. Let's not say that the whole poem has the background of hurting the famous prostitute Xue Tao. It's just that this quatrain itself has a very interesting allusion.
After the Wei Dynasty, that is, the Northern Wei Dynasty, Yuan Shu's story was also very tortuous. He was a talented imperial clan, captured by the Northern Wei Dynasty and finally killed in Luoyang. During his northern expedition as Nanliang, his favorite Ji Yuer gave him his own gold ring. After Yuan Shu was captured in the Northern Expedition, the client brought the gold ring back to Nanliang and gave it to her. This troubled time is really embarrassing. And the image of this hibiscus poet must be familiar to Mr. Qian. That's why there is Fu Xiao's name. The dew on the hibiscus is beautiful, but it really won't last long. So is the meaning of besieged city. No matter how beautiful the image of Tang Xiaofu is, it is actually just a drop of dew in Fang Hung-chien's thought. Youth at that time was beautiful, but it was only an emotion at that moment.
