Chang 'an University, a university directly under the Ministry of Education, is the first batch of national key universities in "2 1 1 Project", the national "985 Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform" and the national "double-class" university.
The school was founded in New China when all kinds of industries are waiting to flourish. It has grown in the wave after wave of reform, flourished in the general trend of becoming a powerful country in higher education, and walked with China for more than 70 years.
Since 195 1, Xi 'an Highway Jiaotong University, Xi 'an Engineering College and Northwest Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture have been established. 1956 began to recruit international students in China. Postgraduates begin to enroll students 1978. 1983 began to recruit doctoral students. 1997 became the first batch of "2 1 1 project" key construction universities. In 2000, three universities merged to form Chang 'an University, which opened a new chapter in the school's leap-forward development.
