University of Shanghai for Science and Technology is a key applied research university in Shanghai, which focuses on engineering, with the coordinated development of engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law and art. It is the first batch of "high-level local universities" construction pilot units in Shanghai. The school has 18 colleges (departments) with more than 27,000 full-time students, including16,000 undergraduates.

Discipline construction:

The discipline layout of the school has been continuously optimized, and there are 64 undergraduate majors, including 20 national first-class professional construction sites and 3 Shanghai first-class professional construction sites 13. This school is one of the earliest universities in China to carry out international cooperation in running schools, with nearly 600 international students. It has established cooperative relations with nearly 200 institutions of higher learning and research institutions in 39 countries and regions, including the United States, Britain, Germany, Canada, Japan, Australia and Ireland, and established two Sino-foreign cooperative educational institutions, namely Sino-British International College and Sino-German International College. The school is the vice chairman unit of Shanghai-Hong Kong University Alliance.
