What school is Yunnan University?
Yunnan University, founded in 1922, is a comprehensive university with a long history in Kunming, Yunnan Province. The school, formerly known as Yunnan Normal School, is one of the founders of modern higher education in China and one of the earliest normal colleges in China. 1996 changed its name to its current name.

The school has 16 colleges, covering humanities, social sciences, science and engineering, agriculture, medicine and other disciplines. The school has undergraduate, master and doctoral education, 8 doctoral disciplines, 34 master disciplines and more than 90 undergraduate majors. The school is famous for its disciplines such as economics, environmental studies, humanities and life sciences, and its disciplines such as environmental science, geography, ethnology, literature, economics and agricultural science are in a leading position in China.

At the same time, Yunnan University is one of the important bases for personnel training, academic exchange and cultural exchange in China-ASEAN Free Trade Area. The school maintains good cooperative relations with some universities and scientific research institutions in the United States, Canada, Britain, Germany, Japan, South Korea and other countries.
