The University of Canterbury ranks 256th in the QS World University Ranking in 2024, which is based on the analysis of more than 6,543.8+075 million academic papers and professional opinions of more than 240,000 scholars and employers.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) topped the list for 12 years in a row, while Cambridge University still ranked second in the world, and Oxford University was upgraded by one place compared with last year.
