Ludong university Library was founded on 1958. From a normal college at that time to a comprehensive university with doctoral degree training program, the library has also experienced rapid development. 1992 The library building developed from less than 4,600 square meters to more than 7,500 square meters of independent buildings, 1996 completed more than 2,000 square meters of library buildings. In 2003, a modern library covering an area of 28,000 square meters was built and put into use. The library has been awarded the honorary titles of "Advanced Collective of University Library Management in Shandong Province", "Advanced Unit of Ancient Books Protection in Yantai City" and "201/advanced member unit of Yantai Library Society" by Shandong Provincial Education Department.

Ludong university Library provides various information services such as literature circulation reading, electronic reading, reference consultation, publicity and guidance, literature retrieval, sci-tech novelty retrieval, interlibrary loan and so on. The library implements an open service mode integrating borrowing, reading, storage and self-study, with 7 lending halls, 7 books and periodicals reading rooms, 3 electronic reading rooms and more than 3,000 reading seats. The library also provides readers with access and link services such as book catalogue, electronic resources, interlibrary loan, document delivery and reference service through the homepage, and initially forms a multi-level, all-round, open and efficient document guarantee system.
