Changsha Aviation Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1973 and upgraded to a higher vocational college in 1998. Under the Air Force Equipment Department, it is the only general college in the whole army with the nature of national education. It is a national high-quality vocational college, an excellent vocational college in Hunan Province and a designated college for training non-commissioned officers in the army. It mainly undertakes the task of training high-quality technical and skilled personnel for military equipment repair, local aviation industry and Hunan economic construction.
