Bao's character story.
On April 28th, 20 15, the National Labor Day Celebration and Commendation Conference for Model Workers and Advanced Workers was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Professor Bao from China Building Materials Institute won the honorary title of National Model Worker and was cordially received by the national leaders. Professor Bao is one of the recommended 34 national model workers and the only one in the building materials industry who has won this honor.

Professor Bao, male, 1957, from Jiangxi. As a teenager, he worked as a carpenter and a salesman. In the second year after resuming the college entrance examination, he was admitted to Wuhan University of Technology with excellent results. 1982 After graduating from university, I continued my graduate studies. 1985 After graduation, he stayed in school as a lecturer in graduate department, Beijing. 1988 entered China, the highest scientific research institution of inorganic nonmetallic materials in China. He studied under the famous mechanics of the older generation, Professor Wang, Professor Jin Zongzhe and Academician. Professor Bao inherited the fine tradition of the older generation of scientists to study hard and devote themselves to science, and constantly explored and innovated, and made outstanding achievements in the field of mechanical properties testing and evaluation of brittle materials. He has successively completed more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects such as "973", "863", National Outstanding Youth Fund, major national scientific instrument research and development projects, "Hundred Talents Program" of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and major scientific and technological plans of Beijing. He has published more than 200 papers in academic journals at home and abroad, including SCI 1 13 and EI160. Obtained more than 40 national patents and published 2 monographs; Presided over the formulation of 6 international standards and 17 national and industry standards; Won 2 second prizes for national scientific and technological progress, 3 first prizes for provincial and ministerial scientific and technological progress and 6 second prizes.

Professor Bao Wangyi created a number of firsts in the building materials industry: 1995 was funded by the German Humboldt Foundation, and he was the first Humboldt scholar in China Building Materials Industry Research Institute after the founding of New China; 1997 was rated as the national first-class and second-class candidate of the cross-century "100 million talents project" by seven ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Personnel; 1998 was rated as a young and middle-aged expert with important contributions; In 2000, he enjoyed the special government allowance of the State Council; 200 1, becoming the first researcher in the enterprise research institute of materials field funded by the National Outstanding Youth Fund and the Hundred Talents Program of Chinese Academy of Sciences; In 2003, he won the National Achievement Award for Returned Overseas Students; In 2007, he was awarded the title of Distinguished Visiting Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and Honorary Senior Fellow of Birmingham University. 20 1 1 presided over the completion of the first ISO international standard of China building materials industry, which was transformed from independent intellectual property rights; 20 13 was awarded the title of "National Excellent Scientific and Technological Worker".
