Art College of Zhejiang Shu Ren University was founded in 2000. At present, there are artistic design (undergraduate) and visual communication design, decorative art design and decorative art design (specialist) majors. The freshmen in 2005 are enrolled according to their major categories, and the training mode of "platform+module" is implemented. After a semester, freshmen will divide their majors (directions) according to their own wishes and academic achievements. Undergraduate students can choose visual communication design, environmental art design, decorative art design, animation and other professional directions to study; Major can choose visual communication design, decorative art design, decorative art design and other majors.

The college attaches great importance to the construction of teaching staff, gives full play to the advantages of private colleges and universities, and adopts a combination of full-time and part-time work. The main leaders, professional leaders and main course teachers of the college are all from China Academy of Art, including the older generation of artists who are quite prestigious in the art world, such as President Cao Zhaofeng, Vice President Qin, Gan, Chen Zhichuan and Zhu Weiming, and the younger generation of expert teachers who have made great achievements in the art world. At present, the college is building its own teaching staff while introducing art education talents from Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Beijing, Japan, Britain and other places for discipline construction, specialty construction and classroom teaching. There are 27 full-time teachers in the college, of which more than 50% are teachers with middle and senior titles. The Institute of Public Art has been set up to give full play to the teaching, scientific research and social service functions of colleges and universities. At present, the scientific research work of young teachers in our college has a good momentum. L projects of the Provincial Department of Education, five of which were awarded the first, second and third level projects of our school's annual regular funding in 2005.

The college attaches importance to the improvement of students' professional knowledge and skills and comprehensive quality, and attaches importance to the organic combination of classroom teaching and social practice. While cultivating students' basic artistic design ability, we should strive to improve their comprehensive quality and practical operation ability. The college has a professional laboratory of art design, and the workshops include the basic computer room of art design, computer art room, sketch room, decorative art room, sculpture room, photography room, digital art design room, and professional PC computers, Apple computers and other supporting facilities.

The college attaches importance to the construction of study style and school spirit. Take classroom teaching as the leading factor, enrich students' second class, actively carry out campus cultural activities and social practice activities, build a colorful campus with professional advantages, serve the society, and comprehensively exercise and enhance students' social competitiveness in practice. The one-time employment rate of graduates in 2004 was 75%, and that of graduates in 2005 was 86%.

The college encourages students to participate in various competitions and has achieved certain results. Grain Rain's "Western Tableware Packaging Design" won the root prize of the third Ningbo International Poster Biennale International Student Design Competition, and many students won the 2004 National Graphic Design Competition for College Students and several Platinum Creative finalists of the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts. Su's eight works, including "The Former Site", won the first, second and third prizes in the 2005 Zhejiang University Students' Art Exhibition of Fine Arts (Projection), Fine Arts (Western Painting), Fine Arts (Chinese Painting) and Fine Arts (Photography) respectively. Teacher Jian Xu won the Best Teacher Award in the Student Group of the 3rd Ningbo International Poster Biennale.
