Do college students need to pay social security?
Legal analysis:

College students can pay social security. Anyone who has reached the age of 16 can participate in social insurance, but college students are not employees of enterprises and cannot participate in the endowment insurance for urban employees. College students can only participate in flexible employment or residents' pension insurance. If you want to participate in the endowment insurance for urban workers, you must sign a labor contract with the employer after graduation, and you can only participate under the conditions of labor relations. There are two kinds of social security as a whole. One is for the employment group, called employee social security, and the other is for the unemployed group, called urban and rural residents social security. Of course, students are unemployed and can only buy a second one.

Students can go to social security (pension+medical care) as freelancers, social security service points in local community streets, and social security bureaus (labor and social security bureaus) at district and county levels to pay fees. Moreover, students can pay medical insurance through the school, with few restrictions and little annual payment, but it can guarantee the purchase of medicine and medical treatment, which is very practical.

There is little advantage for students to pay social security, but it can be considered if conditions permit. Even if you don't buy social security, you must buy a medical insurance, such as medical insurance for urban and rural residents.

However, when looking for a job, college students are not advised to pay social security.
