Yokohama National University (English: Yokohama National University; Japanese Hiragana: よこはまこくりつだぃがく), referred to as Yokohama University, Yokogawa University and YNU, is a company headquartered in Angu, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

Yokohama National University, formerly known as 1876 (Meiji 9), is one of the oldest universities in Japan. On 1949, it completed the integration and reorganization with the former Yokohama Institute of Economics, Yokohama Institute of Technology and Kanagawa Youth Normal School, and established Yokohama National University as a legal person in 2004. Yokohama National University is a member of COE, Japan Ocean Innovation Alliance, East Asia Teacher Education International Alliance, World Port City University Alliance and other famous organizations. It is also a cooperative university of the United Nations Development Programme (Japan).

Yokohama National University aims to cultivate small-scale and multi-directional social elites. Its graduates rank second in Japan in the personnel evaluation rankings of Nikkei enterprises, sixth in the number of presidents of listed enterprises, and fourth in the proportion of every 10,000 graduates. Its Department of Economics and Management is an important education center in the financial industry, ranking fourth among universities in China, second only to Tokyo University, Kyoto University and hitotsubashi university, and it is a famous school in the capital circle. Yokohama National University has a world-class architecture department and many famous architects have been born. Among them, Nishizawa Riwei and sister island Heshi won the 20 10 Pritzker Award, which is the highest honor in the world of architecture and the only Japanese university except Tokyo University.
