Taking the ancient history and culture of Shanxi as the research core, this paper combs and studies its civilization evolution, social changes, ethnic blending, ideological culture, economic development, cultural relics and historical sites, and ethnic customs. Show the basic features of Sanjin culture in an all-round and multi-level way, reveal the characteristics and laws of Sanjin cultural changes, highlight the status and contribution of Sanjin culture, and promote the construction and development of Sanjin culture.

Research results: In the process of studying Jin culture, it has successively published History of Jin State, Research on Social and Legalist Culture in Sanjin Area in Pre-Qin Period, History of the Rise and Fall of Ticket Merchants, History of Shanxi, Folk Customs and Tourism on Both Sides of Fenhe River, Pei Family in Hedong during Wei, Jin, Sui and Tang Dynasties, Chinese Surname Spectrum: Pei Family Name, Witness of Civilization and Rites and Music System.

Teaching: undertake 4 provincial-level educational reform projects and 7 school-level quality projects.
