Jimei University is a first-class university, a "double-first-class" construction university and a key construction university in Fujian Province. There are 20 colleges with more than 28,500 students, including 26,000 full-time undergraduates, 2,300 graduate students and nearly 200 international students. At present, there are about 1500 full-time teachers, including 29 national talents including 10 academician (2 full-time) and 77 provincial talents/kloc-0.

The school has a relatively complete range of disciplines, covering nine disciplines, including economics, law, education, literature, science, engineering, agriculture, management and art. Botany and zoology are among the top in ESI world 1%. At present, there are four doctoral degree authorization points in the first-level discipline, five master degree authorization points in the first-level discipline 15 and eight master degree authorization points 18.

Jimei University currently has 74 undergraduate majors, including 4 national majors, 14 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 6 national "excellent" talent training programs, 3 national professional comprehensive reform pilots, 1 engineering education certification major of the Ministry of Education, 18 provincial first-class professional construction sites, 65,438 provincial professional construction sites, and 65,438 provincial professional construction sites.
