The college has strong scientific research strength and superior scientific research conditions. The college consists of central laboratory (more than 20 laboratories), provincial digital design engineering research center, CAD/CAM research center, electromechanical automation research institute, casting research institute, electromechanical engineering research institute and hydraulic research institute. Since the Ninth Five-Year Plan, China has actively participated in the main battlefield of economic construction and made important contributions, obtaining direct economic benefits of more than 30 million yuan and creating indirect economic benefits of more than 600 million yuan. It has completed and undertaken more than 90 projects at or above the provincial level, including the National 863 Plan, the National Natural Science Fund, the National Education Commission Fund, major science and technology funded projects in Fujian Province, and key projects of the Fujian Natural Science Fund.
