Hebei United University is a key university in Hebei Province, located in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, in the center of Bohai Bay. It is a comprehensive university focusing on engineering and medicine, with the coordinated development of science, economics, management, literature, law and art, with postgraduate education, undergraduate education, junior college education, international student education, continuing education and other levels and types.
The school has been inherited for a hundred years and has a profound foundation. Hebei United University was formed by the merger of the former Hebei Polytechnic University and the former North China Coal Medical College. Hebei Polytechnic University was established by the Department of Mining and Metallurgy of Tianjin University (formerly known as the Department of Mining and Metallurgy of Beiyang West School founded by 1895), and successively used the names of Tangshan Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Tangshan Institute of Technology, Hebei Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Tangshan Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hebei Institute of Technology, etc. North China Coal Medical College, formerly Kailuan Senior Nurse Vocational School, was founded in 1926. After liberation, it was transformed into Kailuan Medical College. 1963 Tangshan coal medical college was established with the approval of the State Council. 1998, jointly established by the central and local governments. In order to achieve a strong alliance and rapid development, in May of 20 10, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the two universities were formally established as Hebei United University. The two universities inherited the academic spirit of "assiduous study, down-to-earth, and seeking truth from facts" from Beiyang University, the educational thought of "seeking truth from facts" from Tianjin University, the excellent school spirit of "rigorous study, assiduous study, hard work and seeking truth from facts" from Tangshan Railway Institute, and the spiritual character of "scientific and rigorous, especially capable of fighting" from Kailuan, which made indelible contributions to the development of higher education in China.
