Dezhou university is a comprehensive undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education in March 2000. Its predecessor was dezhou university, which was formed by the merger of Texas Teachers College, Texas Education College and Texas Ye Zhi University. It has a history of 30 years.

After the merger of the three universities in 2000, the University of Texas should be declared as "Texas University" directly to the Ministry of Education.
