Zeng Guofan claimed to be meritorious, virtuous and immortal, which was reflected in the Complete Works of Zeng Zheng Wen. The book is divided into eleven categories: thesis, ci fu, preface and postscript, imperial edict, recitation, letter, eulogy, biography, narration, canon and miscellaneous notes.
