North university of china is a provincial-level university, a provincial-level key university, an engineering university for basic capacity building in central and western universities, the second batch of key universities in the education and training program for outstanding engineers, China Aerospace Core University, one of the eight undergraduate universities directly under the former Science, Technology and Industry Committee for National Defense, and seven undergraduate universities directly under the former Ministry of People and Ordnance Industry of China.
