The Book Lending Service of the Library of Xinjiang Normal University
Borrowing books and periodicals is a major task of the library. Our library will focus on introducing modern management mode, adjusting layout and providing quality services. In recent years, the library's business work has gradually adopted computer network management, and its efficiency has been obviously improved. The number of reading seats increased from 1200 in 2006 to 1346 in 2004. The reading room is open for 70 hours every week. The number of books borrowed is limited to 5 per student for 30 days; Graduate students and teachers each have 10 copies, and the loan period is 60 days. With the expansion of the school scale and the increasingly rich literature resources, the number of books borrowed and the number of readers received in the periodical reading room have increased year by year: in 2002, the number of books borrowed was 5943 1, in 2003, it was 80804, and in 2004, it was133548; The periodical reading room received 169634 readers in 2002, 170285 readers in 2003 and 194886 readers in 2004.

From the feedback information of readers, it can be seen that junior college students are more concerned about the basic services of the library, such as extending the opening hours, increasing reading seats and adding new books. The opinions and requirements of graduate students are transferred to the literature reference service, such as expanding the interlibrary loan service, providing more convenient conditions for the use of library electronic resources and improving the efficiency of literature delivery service. Teachers pay more attention to the use of electronic resources, and put forward higher requirements for the protection of literature information, such as hoping to increase foreign periodicals, requiring targeted lecture training, and giving full play to the role of subject liaison officers. It can be seen that different readers have different requirements for library reader service.

In order to help readers better understand and use the collection resources, the library holds various training lectures in the library from time to time, including the distribution and utilization of the collection and the use of the library information inquiry system. In order to strengthen readers' information literacy education and improve the utilization rate of literature resources, the library actively adopts advanced technical means and equipment to educate readers. In 2003, the library completed the production of courseware for readers' education, and it has been put into use in the entrance education for freshmen in 2003 and 2004, with more than 7,000 users.
